MONTGOMERY (Dec. 20, 2026) – The NFIB Alabama PAC has endorsed Corey Hill for Alabama commissioner of agriculture and industries. The political action committee is comprised of NFIB small business members from throughout the state.
“Family farms are small businesses, and they face many of the same challenges as the stores and other businesses that serve our communities,” NFIB State Director Rosemary Elebash said. “Corey Hill is a member of NFIB, and he understands those challenges because he deals with them himself, both on his family’s farm and in his grocery store. He would bring practical experience and a small business perspective to the Department of Agriculture and Industries.”
Hill raises cattle and poultry on his fourth-generation family farm and operates a grocery store in Douglas. His background gives him firsthand experience with the work involved in producing food, bringing it to market, and serving customers. As mayor of Douglas, he also brings experience in local government, infrastructure, and economic development.
“Corey understands agriculture from the farm to the grocery aisle,” Elebash said. “He knows how decisions in Montgomery affect the people who grow our food and run our local businesses. His experience as a farmer, small business operator, and mayor prepares him well to serve as commissioner of agriculture and industries.”
Today’s endorsement puts the considerable grassroots support of the state’s small businesses behind Hill’s campaign. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to vote. NFIB will encourage its Alabama members to help turn out the powerful small business voting bloc on Election Day.
