MONTGOMERY – The Alabama PAC has endorsed Tommy Tuberville for governor, citing his strong record of supporting small businesses and his commitment to lower taxes and fewer unnecessary regulations. The political action committee is comprised of NFIB members from across the state.
“Tommy Tuberville understands that small business owners need more room to run their businesses and less government paperwork,” NFIB State Director Rosemary Elebash said. “He has stood with our members in the U.S. Senate, earning a 100% NFIB Voting Record. His record shows that he listens to small business owners.”
Tuberville sponsored legislation to repeal the Corporate Transparency Act, a measure strongly supported by NFIB. He also has advocated for reducing bureaucracy, limiting the powers of government agencies and cutting excessive regulations.
His platform for governor includes lowering taxes, eliminating waste and fraud, and continuing efforts to recruit businesses to Alabama.
“Small businesses need a governor who will keep taxes in check and make it easier to start and grow a business,” Elebash said. “We look forward to working with him to help Alabama’s small businesses succeed.”
“I’m honored to have scored a 100 on NFIB’s scorecard,” Tuberville said. “As a small business owner, I have seen firsthand the devastating impacts that burdensome government regulations can have on a bottom line. That’s why I’ve fought hard to get rid of red tape and lower taxes while serving in the U.S. Senate. As Alabama’s next governor, I’ll continue doing whatever it takes to unleash Alabama’s economic potential and make sure our small business owners are set up for success.”
Today’s endorsement puts the considerable grassroots support of the state’s small businesses behind Tuberville’s campaign. Small business owners and their employees vote in large numbers and make a point of encouraging other entrepreneurs, friends, and family members to support candidates who support small businesses.
