No Montgomery Special Interest Groups Endorse Zeigler
Alabama PSC Place 2 candidate calls it “A Badge of Honor” but can win anyway
From the Zeigler campaign
Public Service Commission candidate Jim Zeigler has been endorsed by – nobody. None of the alphabet soup Montgomery groups have endorsed him. But he says he is strongly leading in the polls and can win the May 19 primary.
“The only endorsement I need is the endorsement of the voters on May 19. We can win that because of my track record as a ‘Watchman for the People.’ I was a Watchman as State Auditor and can do it again as Public Service Commissioner.”
Zeigler’s slogan and campaign signs have a simple message – “YOUR WATCHMAN.”
“Actions speak louder than words. What a person has actually done says far more than campaign promises.”
Zeigler filed the initial ethics complaint that resulted in the ethics commission finding probable cause that Gov. Robert Bentley was in violation. Five days later, Bentley resigned and pleaded guilty to misdemeanors.
Zeigler formed the citizens group that blocked the toll charge on the I-10 Bayway in 2019.
Zeigler led successful efforts that blocked ADOC’s 30-year prison rental plan.
Zeigler and his wife Jackie led the successful statewide 'Vote No' campaign against the amendment that would have taken away your right to vote for state school board.
“I wear it as a badge of honor that no special interest groups have endorsed me. I seek only the endorsement of the voters in the May 19 primary,” he said.
