Over 50 Alabama Law Enforcement Officials Endorse Pamela Casey for Attorney General
“I will never take their trust for granted”—Pamela Casey

Pamela Casey, the longtime District Attorney of Blount County and a candidate for Alabama Attorney General, announced on Thursday that she has secured endorsements from more than 50 District Attorneys, police chiefs, and other law enforcement leaders across the State.
Casey has built a reputation as a tough prosecutor and a defender of victims’ rights. Her campaign says that her record of confronting violent crime, supporting families, and working closely with law enforcement has won the trust of those on the front lines of public safety.
Walt Merrell, District Attorney of Covington County and Vice President of the Alabama District Attorneys Association, said:
“Alabama has a choice to make, and I pray they choose the proven prosecutor who is ready to lead. For the sake of victims, for the safety of our communities, and for the rule of law — Alabama needs Pamela Casey as our next Attorney General.”
Jaye Loggins, who served 29 years in law enforcement and was Chief of Police in Mountain Brook, added:
“We need an Attorney General who understands the daily battles our officers face. Pamela has proven she has the backbone to fight crime, defend victims, and uphold the rule of law.”
Jimmy Baldwin, Chief of Police in Oneonta, said he has seen Casey’s work firsthand:
“I have worked with Pamela throughout her tenure as district attorney, she has real experience prosecuting criminals and standing up for victims, despite political pressures. She has always had our backs, and we know as Attorney General she will fight just as hard for the people of Alabama.”
Shelly Linderman, Director of Wiregrass Angel House, which supports victims, offered this endorsement:
“As a career prosecutor, Pamela Casey knows that justice is not about politics — it’s about protecting people. She has always put victims first.”
“I will never take their trust for granted,” Casey said of the endorsements. “I am humbled to receive the endorsement of these men and women. I know how hard they work and how much they sacrifice for our communities, and I greatly appreciate their trust. As Attorney General, I will continue to fight relentlessly for Alabama families, support the men and women of law enforcement, and uphold the Constitution without compromise.”
Pamela L. Casey brings nearly twenty years of prosecutorial experience to her campaign. She has handled some of Alabama’s toughest cases, including capital murder, violent crime, and human trafficking. She has also been honored as “District Attorney of the Year.”
Her campaign has also drawn public attention for a $500,000 personal loan she made to her own campaign, a move she says underscores her commitment and resourcefulness.
