Rep. Gary Palmer will be on Leland Live on Talk 99.5 in Birmingham Friday afternoon, taking calls from constituents
U.S. Representative Gary Palmer (R-AL-06) will be on Leland Live on Talk 99.5 at 4:00pm CT to take calls from constituents and answer questions on Friday, April 24.
Gary Palmer is a longtime conservative leader and businessman who has represented Alabama’s 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House since 2015. Raised in the small northwest Alabama town of Hackleburg, Palmer grew up in a working-class family and went on to become the first in his family to earn a college degree, graduating from the University of Alabama with a degree in operations management.
Before entering public office, Palmer spent more than two decades shaping conservative policy in the state. He co-founded the Alabama Policy Institute, serving as its President for roughly 24 years and helping build it into a leading voice on State-level policy issues. His work during that time centered on limited government, free markets, and traditional values — principles that continue to define his political career.
Elected to Congress in 2014, Palmer has focused on fiscal responsibility, regulatory reform, and expanding American energy production. He has served on key committees, including Energy and Commerce and Oversight, and previously chaired the House Republican Policy Committee, helping guide policy priorities within his party.
Now based in Hoover, Palmer remains closely tied to his Alabama roots. His public service reflects a blend of policy experience and grassroots perspective, shaped by decades of work both inside and outside of government.
Palmer is seeking reelection to the House, and is on the ballot in the Republican primary on May 19.
