Attorney Joy Morris relates why she is supporting Bishop for Lt. Governor
Pat Bishop has launched a new campaign commercial featuring Alabama attorney Joy Morris speaking about why she is supporting Bishop in the Alabama Lieutenant Governor race.
“If you want someone who is all about God, family, our country, our State, the citizens in it, and making things better — and not just thinking about making things better but actually doing what’s needed to make it better — Pat Bishop is the one you want to vote for,“ Morris says in the video.
Alabama native Morris is an attorney, entrepreneur, and communications professional with a diverse career spanning healthcare, media, and public service. She was scouted as a teenager and became a nationally ranked JCPenney catalog and runway model before earning a nursing degree and working as a state-licensed nurse. Her professional experience also includes work as an actress in film and television, host of the radio program A Touch of Joy, television and red-carpet interviewer, mediator, public speaker, and owner of healthcare clinics. She later graduated from law school and has worked as a tribal attorney.
A mother to her adopted daughter, Sarah Morris, Joy describes motherhood as one of the most meaningful roles of her life and a motivating force behind her civic engagement. She frequently attributes her professional opportunities and personal successes to her faith and to the values instilled in her by her father at an early age.
Currently, Morris serves as communications director for Major Pat Bishop’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor of Alabama, supporting his candidacy as both a close associate and a citizen who believes in his leadership, ethics, and vision for the State.
Patrick “Pat” Bishop entered the Republican race for Lieutenant Governor of Alabama in May 2025. His campaign emphasizes a “common-sense” leadership style rooted in his 26-year military service.
