Radio and Television Host and Commentator—and almost, an Alabama Senatorial candidate himself—Paul Finebaum gave a very positive shoutout to Joshua McKee on his show Monday afternoon.

Speaking to Nate in Montana, when asked about “the Green Beret veteran who’s running for Congress down there in Alabama’s First District, Finebaum said:

“I assume you're talking about Josh McKee, who's a good friend of mine. He's running for the first congressional district. I mean, he's a 25 year Green Beret hero, an American patriot, so I wish him all the best.”

Joshua McKee is a decorated U.S. Army Green Beret and Bronze Star recipient running for the Republican nomination Alabama’s 1st Congressional District on a platform grounded in service, conservative values, and an America First agenda.

For 25 years, McKee led Special Forces teams in demanding overseas missions and earned one of the nation’s highest military honors for his courage and leadership. After retiring from the military, he built a private-sector career that included strategic roles at major companies and entrepreneurial ventures.

McKee’s campaign launch emphasized a return to core conservative priorities. “Washington’s spending, open borders, and attacks on our constitutional rights are eroding the nation we fought for,” he told supporters, underscoring his focus on border security, fiscal discipline, and defending constitutional freedoms.

Endorsements from influential conservative groups have bolstered his campaign. The Green Beret PAC praised his “courage, judgment, and steady leadership,” and Border Patriot PAC highlighted his border security agenda as vital for Alabama families. McKee welcomed both endorsements, saying they reflect the Gulf Coast’s values and his commitment to secure borders and support for law enforcement.

National conservative veterans’ group GatorPAC, led by retired Colonel Rob Maness, also backed McKee, calling him a “proven warrior” with the character to champion limited government, strong national defense, and family-first policies in Congress. McKee said he plans to carry the ethos of service before self to Washington, fighting for secure borders, strong families, and the freedoms Americans have defended.

McKee’s campaign goes beyond politics into humanitarian service. In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, he partnered with veteran-led nonprofit Project DYNAMO in Jamaica, helping deliver critical aid and assist Americans left in the storm’s aftermath. On the ground, he coordinated delivery of supplies and support for evacuation efforts, illustrating his hands-on approach to service.

A resident of Baldwin County, McKee lives with his wife Jennifer and their children. His life story — from a challenging childhood through elite military service and into public leadership — underscores a commitment to faith, family, and community that shapes his vision for Alabama’s future in Congress.
