Pell City Police Chief Clay Morris has publicly endorsed Republican Katherine Robertson in her bid for Alabama Attorney General, citing her steadfast support for law enforcement and commitment to public safety.

In announcing his support, Chief Morris said:

“Katherine Robertson is the best choice to be Alabama’s next Attorney General. Katherine is tough on crime and always backs the blue. Her leadership will continue to make Alabama the safest place to live, work, and worship — not just for our families, but for our law enforcement. Katherine’s strong record is why I am voting for her on election day.”

Robertson expressed gratitude for the endorsement, calling it a sign of trust in her agenda. “I am deeply grateful for Chief Morris’ endorsement and his trust in my vision for a safer Alabama,” she said. “As Attorney General, I will continue to prioritize the safety of our communities and ensure our law enforcement officers have the support and resources they need to protect our citizens.”

She added, “Together, we will uphold the rule of law and make Alabama a place where every family can thrive.”

Robertson’s campaign has garnered backing from several law enforcement leaders across the State, emphasizing her record in defending the rule of law.

Robertson will face former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Jay Mitchell and Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey in the Republican primary on May 19, 2026.
