Republican Women of North Shelby County Food Drive at Tuesday Meeting
The club will be collecting non-perishable food items and donations for Shelby County families in need at this Tuesday's meeting
The Republican Women of North Shelby County will be collecting non-perishable food items for Shelby County families in need at Tuesday's meeting, which will be November 11 at the Inverness Country Club, 1 Country Club Drive, 35242, with doors opening at 11:30.
Collected items will be donated to the food pantry located at Asbury Methodist Church, 6690 Cahaba Valley Rd, Birmingham, AL 35242.
Suggested items include:
- Canned meats such as tuna, chicken, corned beef
- Canned fruits and vegetables
- Pasta and pasta Sauces
- Canned Soups
Donations will be accepted by Cash, Checks or Venmo, payable to RWNSC. Please note they are for the food drive. Gift Cards for Walmart or Publix will also be accepted.
As the government shutdown drags on, many families in our area are hurting. Food pantries are always busier as the holidays loom. This year they are more stressed than ever.
The featured speakers at Tuesday’s meeting will be Republican candidates Rick Pate (Lt. Governor), Pamela Casey (Attorney General) and Andrew Sorrell (Secretary of State).
