HOOVER, Ala. — The Alabama Republican Party (ALGOP) congratulates the following candidates who emerged victorious in Tuesday’s Republican Primary Runoff Election.
U.S. Senate — Barry Moore
Lt. Governor — John Wahl
Attorney General — Katherine Robertson
Commissioner of Agriculture & Industries — Corey Hill
Public Service Commission, Place 2 — Jim Zig Zeigler
The runoff results mark another important milestone in the 2026 election cycle and provide Republicans with strong nominees for several key statewide offices. As the Party continues preparations for both the August Special Primary Election and the November General Election, Alabama Republicans remain focused on building momentum and delivering victories up and down the ballot.
ALGOP Chairman Scott Stadthagen said Republicans are entering the next phase of the election cycle from a position of strength.
"The 2026 Republican field is set, and the ALGOP stands ready to help elect our party’s candidates up and down the ballot. We have a blue-chip roster of candidates in a bright red Republican state, and that is a perfect recipe for victory.
Doug Jones and the Democrat slate support allowing men in women’s locker rooms, restrooms, and sporting events, open borders, abortion on demand, and other leftist policies that are far outside the mainstream conservative views most Alabamians embrace.
The Alabama Republican Party’s mission remains clear this election cycle: defeating liberal Doug Jones, retaining our U.S. Senate seat, reclaiming the congressional seat that federal judges wrongly handed to Democrats, and increasing our supermajorities in both chambers of the Legislature.
The cards are clearly stacked in our favor, the conservative stars are aligned, and Alabama Republicans look forward to celebrating big wins across the board in November."
