Robertson Wins AG Endorsement from Chilton County Sheriff
“The relationship between law enforcement and the AG’s Office has never been better. Katherine deserves a great deal of credit for that“— Sheriff John Shearon

Republican candidate for Alabama Attorney General, Katherine Robertson, has secured the endorsement of Chilton County Sheriff John Shearon, adding further momentum to her campaign.
Sheriff Shearon praised Robertson’s work, saying:
“The relationship between law enforcement and the AG’s Office has never been better. Katherine deserves a great deal of credit for that. She is a proven team player and has the humility of a true leader.”
Robertson responded to the endorsement with this statement:
“I am deeply honored to receive Sheriff Shearon’s endorsement. His trust reflects my unwavering commitment to supporting our law enforcement officers and ensuring Alabama remains a safe place for families. Together, we will continue to uphold the rule of law and protect our state from the dangerous policies of the radical left.”
The endorsement comes as Robertson emphasises her experience and record in law-enforcement support, positioning herself as the candidate ready to lead the Attorney General’s office from day one. Sheriff Shearon joins a growing list of endorsements from law-enforcement officials across the State, as well as Alabama Farmers Federation (ALFA / FarmPAC), and the Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA).
Robertson will face Jay Mitchell, former Alabama Supreme Court Justice, and Pamela Casey, Blount County District Attorney, in the Republican primary on May 19, 2026.
