Seth Burton Signs Moms for Liberty Parent Pledge
U.S. Senate candidate affirms commitment to Parents and Constitutional Principles
From Moms for Liberty — Alabama
U.S. Senate candidate Seth Burton has signed the Moms for Liberty Parent Pledge, publicly affirming his commitment to protecting parental rights and ensuring that families remain at the center of decisions affecting their children.
The Moms for Liberty Parent Pledge is a public commitment recognizing the fundamental right of parents to direct the education, medical care, and moral upbringing of their children. By signing the pledge, Burton joins a growing number of candidates across Alabama who are reaffirming the principle that parents — not government bureaucracies — should guide the future of their children.
Burton, a Huntsville native and retired U.S. Navy submarine captain who served the nation for three decades, emphasized the constitutional foundation behind his decision to sign the pledge.
Seth Burton said:
“This pledge is a reaffirmation of the Constitutional principle that the people are sovereign. In this case, parents are sovereign, not the government.”
Burton’s campaign for the United States Senate has focused on restoring accountability in government, strengthening American leadership, and defending the constitutional liberties that empower citizens and families.
Emily Jones, Chapter Chair of Moms for Liberty – Madison County, expressed appreciation for Burton’s commitment and his family’s long record of service:
“We’re grateful to Seth Burton and his family for their decades of service to our country. That kind of commitment to duty and leadership matters, and it’s encouraging to see someone with that background also recognize the importance of protecting parental rights. We appreciate Seth taking the time to sign the Parent Pledge and for his willingness to serve the families of Alabama.”
The Moms for Liberty Parent Pledge continues to serve as a public declaration for candidates who believe that parents should remain the primary authority in their children’s lives and that government must respect and uphold that principle.
