Shelby GOP to Host May 26 Runoff Candidate Forum
Republican runoff candidates for statewide offices and Shelby County judge will meet voters May 26 in Pelham
The Shelby County Republican Party will host a Republican runoff candidate forum on Tuesday, May 26, at the Pelham Civic Complex, 500 Amphitheater Road, Pelham, giving voters a chance to hear directly from candidates seeking statewide and local offices ahead of the Republican runoff election.
The event will begin at 6:00 PM and is open to the public. The forum is intended to help voters make informed decisions before ballots are cast in several closely watched Republican runoff races across Alabama.
Candidates participating in runoff contests for the following offices are expected to be represented:
- U.S. Senate
- Lieutenant Governor
- Attorney General
- Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries
- Public Service Commission, Place 2
- Shelby County District Judge
The forum will be moderated by JT of NewsRadio 105.5 WERC and Alabama’s Morning News.
Organizers described the event as an opportunity for voters to hear “a structured and engaging discussion on the key issues facing Alabama and the nation.”
