Alabama State Representative Phillip Rigsby (R-Huntsville) has officially declared he will seek reelection in the Alabama House of Representatives for District 25. First elected in 2022, Rigsby says much remains to be done.

“Together, we’ve made great progress, but there is still more work to do,” Rigsby said in a statement. “I’m running for reelection because I believe in the future of our state, and I’m committed to continuing the fight for better roads, strong schools, lower taxes, a secure border and unwavering support for our military, first responders, veterans, and working families.”

Rigsby also emphasized his guiding principles: faith, conviction, and service to constituents. “As I seek to continue serving, I remain grounded in my faith, guided by my convictions, and committed to the people I represent,” Rigsby said. “I ask for your prayers, your support, and your vote.“

Since taking office, Rigsby has backed policies aimed at public safety, increased healthcare access, parental rights, and economic growth in North Alabama. He has also been an advocate for responsible budgeting and transparency in government.

Recently, he was selected Vice Chair of the PTSD on the First Responders Joint Interim Study Commission, and Co-Chair of the Rural Roadmap Initiative Subcommittee on Rural Healthcare

Outside the legislature, Rigsby works as a pharmacist and small business owner. He also serves as an Elder in his church and chaplain for a volunteer fire department. He has been married to his wife, Pamela, since 1998 and they are parents to two adult sons.

His current term ends in 2026, and he will be seeking another term in the November election.
