BIRMINGHAM, AL—In just two months on the campaign trail, Jay Mitchell has emerged as the clear frontrunner of the Alabama Attorney General race, outraising both of his Republican opponents now two months in a row. He continues to lead the race in total fundraising.

Mitchell raised $405,550 in July, once again topping both other candidates in the monthly reports required by the state. Mitchell raised nearly 3.5x the combined funds raised by his opponents, and 99.9% of Mitchell's July funding are Alabama dollars. It marks the second straight month that Mitchell has posted the strongest numbers in the field.

Since launching in early June, Mitchell has posted over $1,696,928.01 in total funds raised.

"This race is about who's going to do the best job of championing Alabama's conservative values and advancing President Trump's agenda. It's clear that voters are ready for an Attorney General who can fight and win for them," said Jay Mitchell. "I'm energized by such strong early support and proud to report that nearly every single dollar raised in July is from the state of Alabama. We're just getting started!"

Jay Mitchell's strong fundraising is fueled by Alabama donors. The vast majority of Mitchell's donors are from within the state, while his opponent's campaign is funded almost entirely from more than $1 million of out-of-state dark money. Jay Mitchell is committed to pursuing funds from Alabama groups who are aligned with President Trump's conservative agenda.

About Jay Mitchell: Jay Mitchell served as an Associate Justice on the Alabama Supreme Court, where he developed a reputation for clear, principled rulings grounded in the Constitution. A former nationally recognized courtroom attorney, Mitchell is a lifelong Republican, husband, and father of four. He is running for Attorney General to take on a more proactive role in championing Alabama's conservative values and protecting the safety and freedom of its citizens.
