Imagine a vibrant, connected District 5—where our kids have safe activities, our seniors stay engaged, and families grow stronger through shared spaces like a community garden, farmers market, or recreation hub. These aren't just ideas—they're goals we can achieve with the right leadership.

I'm Susie Patrick, and I'm running for Moundville City Council, District 5. I'm a retired Police Lieutenantand lifelong public servant. I've spent my life solving problems, protecting families, and working to strengthen communities. Even in retirement, I've stayed deeply involved—volunteering with Head Start, helping with after-school homework, and advocating for our youth and families.

I've been a regular attendee at City Council and Board of Education meetings for years—not just recently—because that's where decisions are made, and where true leadership shows up.

I know District 5 because I live here.
My children attend our local public school. My mother, Shirley, lives in our skilled nursing facility. I understand the daily challenges our families face—because they're my challenges too.

I currently serve on Moundville's Zoning Board of Adjustments, where I've gained valuable insight into how our town grows. I'm also active in the Bryce Advocacy Committee, Hale County Literacy Council, Every Child Alabama Coalition, and serve with our local Girl Scout Troop 29533..

What makes me different?

Consistency. Experience. Commitment.
I'm the only District 5 candidate who has consistently attended council and education meetings. I don't just listen—I follow through. I don't just show up now—I've always been here.

If elected, I will:

As a retiree, I have the time, energy, and dedication this role requires. I'm not running for a title—I'm running to be your voice, your advocate, and your champion for progress that starts right here at home.
