Today, I am honored and humbled to thank the people of Alabama for selecting me as the Democratic nominee for the United States Senate.
First and foremost, I thank God for placing me in a position to seek this office and for guiding me throughout this historic campaign. I am grateful for His grace, wisdom, and blessings every step of the way.
I also want to thank my family, whose love, support, and sacrifice made this journey possible. They stood by me through every challenge and every victory.
I extend my sincere appreciation to the Alabama Democratic Conference, under the leadership of Dr. Joe Reed, for its support and commitment to advancing Democratic values throughout our state. I also thank the Alabama New South Coalition and its sister organization, the Alabama New South Alliance, whose President Emeritus, former Senator Hank Sanders, has spent a lifetime fighting for justice, equality, and opportunity for all Alabamians.
To the many Democratic leaders, elected officials, organizations, and citizens across Alabama who offered personal endorsements and encouragement, thank you for believing in our campaign and our vision for the future.
I also congratulate all Democratic candidates who were victorious in the Primary Runoff Election. I look forward to working together as we unite our party and move Alabama forward.
Now, we turn the page and begin the work necessary to win on November 3, 2026.
The issues facing Alabama families deserve serious discussion and real solutions. We must focus on strengthening our economy, creating better-paying jobs, increasing wages, expanding educational opportunities, improving rural healthcare, and ensuring our veterans receive the quality healthcare and services they have earned through their sacrifice.
We must also address our nation's immigration challenges in a lawful and practical manner, including properly funding immigration courts so that individuals seeking legal status can have their cases heard and resolved in a timely manner.
Most importantly, we must recommit ourselves to the principles of our Constitution and the system of government established by our Founding Fathers. As your United States Senator, I will faithfully serve pursuant to Article I of the United States Constitution and work to uphold the balance of powers among the three branches of government.
Thank you again, Alabama, for your trust, your support, and your belief in this campaign. Together, we will continue building a brighter future for our state and our nation.
May God bless Alabama, and may God bless the United States of America.
