The Senate Doesn't Deserve a Break — Timeout with Tuberville

The Senate has done NOTHING to deserve a five-week break. We haven’t funded the military, we are about to let Democrats shut down the government, and our elections STILL aren’t secure. The House has passed hundreds of bills. Other than the One Big Beautiful Bill, all the Senate has done is pass bills rebuking Trump and giving Democrats handouts. We have lost sight of the fact that our job is to deliver RESULTS for the American people.

There is no issue I hear more about when I’m back home in Alabama than securing our elections. Under Communists Joe Biden and Barack Obama, more than 15 MILLION third-world illegals invaded our country. These illegals are costing the American taxpayers billions of dollars and are planning to vote in our midterm elections in just 99 days.

Because of this, the ‘traditions of the Senate’ should no longer apply. The American people didn’t vote for a Republican party obsessed with preserving their own power through the manufactured filibuster. They voted for a Republican party that campaigned on fighting back against the TENS OF MILLIONS of third-world illegals who came here under Joe Biden and are looking to destroy this country.

If we do not pass the SAVE America Act before November, Democrats will steal the 2026 and 2028 elections, and we will go back to Joe Biden’s immigration policy on steroids under the new Communist Democrat party. Now is the time to dig in, eliminate the manufactured filibuster, and start a new Senate tradition of actually getting things done for the Constitution and the American people.

I’ll be joining Senator Mike Lee in voting against any attempts to adjourn for recess. Americans didn’t send us to D.C. to take a vacation. They sent us here to preserve the greatest country on Earth. 

Tuberville Continues Advocating for Alabama’s Catfish Industry

Senator Tuberville joined U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) in endorsing a request made by the U.S. farm-raised catfish industry for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to help the industry by purchasing catfish products. Sens. Tuberville and Hyde-Smith wrote a letter to USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins asking her to approve a request to purchase U.S. farm-raised catfish products through the Agricultural Marketing Service Section 32 Program.

The letter is a continuation of advocacy by the Senators to include farm-raised catfish, Gulf shrimp, and other commodities included in USDA Section 32 decisions.

Following the Senators’ letter, Secretary Rollins announced USDA would be purchasing up to $20 million in surplus U.S. farm-raised catfish.

Tuberville Attends Ribbon-Cutting for New AIT Barracks at Fort Rucker

Earlier this month, Senator Tuberville attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Advanced Individual Training (AIT) barracks at Fort Rucker. Sen. Tuberville secured part of the funding for these barracks in the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), his first defense bill after taking office and representing Alabama on the Senate Armed Services Committee. During his visit, Sen. Tuberville also toured Phase I of the barracks, which will be named in honor of PFC Garfield Langhorn.

Tuberville Honors Leo Finn of Cullman as July “Veteran of the Month”

Senator Tuberville released a video honoring U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Leo Finn as the July “Veteran of the Month.” Watch Sen. Tuberville’s remarks below or here.

Tuberville’s Food Safety Bill Unanimously Passes HELP Committee

Recently, Senator Tuberville’s bill, the Making America’s Food Safer Act, unanimously passed out of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee (HELP).

The Making America’s Food Safer Act would give the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) the authority to destroy imported food that is flagged as posing a significant public health risk at U.S. ports of entry. By destroying these dangerous products, it both protects American consumers and helps Alabama’s producers, including shrimpers. The bill also strengthens American public health infrastructure to respond during supply chain disruptions and public health crises.

Tuberville Speaks at Confirmation Hearing for Department of Labor Secretary Nominee

This month, Senator Tuberville spoke with Keith Sonderling, President Trump’s nominee to be Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor. During the hearing, Sen. Tuberville and Mr. Sonderling discussed the efforts the Trump administration is taking to root out waste, fraud, and abuse of federal tax dollars, as well as expanding 401(k) retirement investments to include cryptocurrency.

Tuberville Speaks at Confirmation Hearing for CDC Director, HHS Nominee

Senator Tuberville spoke with Dr. Erica Schwartz, President Trump’s nominee for Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Sean Kaufman, President Trump’s nominee for Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), during today’s Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee hearing. 

During the hearing, Sen. Tuberville discussed federal vaccine policy, alternative treatment options, and the need to rebuild Americans’ trust in the nation’s public-health system. Sen. Tuberville also spoke about the importance of nutrition, physical fitness, and disease prevention.

Tuberville: Social Security is a Scam

Senator Tuberville delivered a speech exposing the federal government’s failed Social Security program as a scam that will be bankrupt soon. In his speech, Sen. Tuberville suggested that the federal government should not be stealing hardworking American taxpayers’ dollars to prop up a failed program. Instead, Americans should be allowed to keep their money to invest in other ways for retirement.
