Three major Alabama business groups have thrown their support behind “Coach” Tommy Tuberville in his run for governor. The Business Council of Alabama, Alabama Forestry Association, and Alabama Concrete Industries Association all made endorsements this week.

“I am thankful for the outpouring of support from so many business leaders across the Yellowhammer State,” Tuberville said in a statement. ”As a former small business owner, I know firsthand how overregulation, high taxes, and inflationary policies can make it harder for small businesses to succeed. Thankfully, President Trump is back in the White House and working around the clock to get our economy back on track. As Governor, I will partner with President Trump to get rid of burdensome regulations and unleash Alabama’s pro‑business economy.”

Helena Duncan, the Council’s President and CEO, said Coach Tuberville “has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the issues that matter most to Alabama’s business community — from workforce development and education to infrastructure and economic competitiveness.” She added the group was “proud to support him” because his vision matches their goal of making Alabama a great place to live, work, and build a business.

Chris Isaacson, AFA’s president and CEO, said Tuberville’s time in the U.S. Senate shows his dedication to the forestry industry. “Coach’s record is second to none in fighting for the forest industry in the U.S. Senate,” he said. He praised Tuberville’s efforts to cut harmful regulations and push “Alabama First” policies, calling him “the leader that Alabama needs.”

John Sorrell, president of the ACIA, applauded Tuberville’s history of standing up for Alabama’s business climate. “During his time in the U.S. Senate, Coach Tuberville has proven to be a strong advocate for Alabama,” Sorrell said. “He’s never hesitated to resist policies that would negatively impact the state’s business climate. Our member companies are involved in almost every facet of the Alabama economy – from home construction to road and bridge building – and we’re proud to endorse the Tuberville for Governor campaign.”

These endorsements of Tuberville by three important parts of Alabama’s economy—business, forestry, and construction—add to his momentum as he heads toward the 2026 election.
