Tim Burchett Backs Barry Moore for U.S. Senate
Tennessee Congressman Tim Burchett endorses Alabama’s Barry Moore, praising his loyalty to Trump and the America First conservative agenda
U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (R-TN) announced his endorsement of U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-AL1) for the U.S. Senate today, highlighting Moore’s unwavering support for former President Donald J. Trump and the America-First agenda.
“Barry Moore has been a rock-solid warrior for President Trump and the MAGA agenda since his first day in Congress,” Burchett said in the official statement. “Unlike the establishment hacks and RINOs who only pretend to support President Trump when it benefits them politically, Barry Moore has never wavered—he was the first elected official to endorse Trump in 2015. He’s stood with America First conservatives through thick and thin. Alabama needs a strong conservative like Barry Moore—not a squishy career politician.”
Moore responded: “Congressman Burchett calls it like he sees it. I’m proud to have his endorsement. We’ve worked closely ever since I was elected to Congress to enact President Trump’s agenda and push back against the Radical Left’s insanity. I look forward to continuing to work with him to usher in America’s Golden Age.”
Burchett, first elected to the U.S. House in 2018 after serving as Knox County Mayor, has positioned himself as a staunch defender of immigration enforcement, government spending cuts and opposition to what he describes as a left-leaning social agenda.
Born and raised in Coffee County, Alabama, Moore is a Christian husband, father and small-business owner who served in the Alabama National Guard Reserves. In August 2015 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, he says he became the “first elected official in the country to endorse Donald Trump for President.” After attending Auburn University, he and his wife Heather founded BMI, Inc., a waste removal and demolition enterprise that grew from one truck into a multi-year operation.
Elected to the House in 2020, Moore serves on the House Freedom Caucus and is described by his campaign as having been rated the most conservative member in Alabama‘s delegation by CPAC and the State’s “most effective legislator.” He says his congressional priorities include supporting farmers, veterans and small business owners, while opposing what he terms a “lawless” Justice Department, unchecked immigration and a radical social agenda.
Moore and Heather live in Coffee County with their two dogs and are parents to four children and two grandchildren.
The endorsement by Burchett signals growing national interest in the Alabama Senate race—one that many observers expect will draw strong conservative candidates and significant attention moving into 2026.
