TRUMP-BACKED JOHN WAHL SURGES TO FUNDRAISING LEAD WITH $1.2 MILLION IN FIRST WEEK OF CAMPAIGN

Athens, AL — Just one week after officially entering the race for Lieutenant Governor of Alabama, Republican John Wahl’s campaign has surged to the top of the field, raising a record $1.2 million in its first week. In addition, the Wahl campaign now leads all contenders with the most cash on hand.

The fundraising totals were disclosed in a monthly report and a large-contribution report, both filed Tuesday evening. The contributions came in all sizes from grassroots supporters, Alabama conservatives, and America First donors across the country.

“This kind of support happens when voters recognize a proven conservative leader who will fight for their conservative beliefs, deliver solid results, and always stand tall in defending our traditional Alabama values.,” Wahl said. “While the first week momentum is historic, impressive, and humbling, we remain confident that it will continue to grow, build, and maintain as the campaign moves forward.”

The surge follows a surprise Truth Social post from President Donald Trump, which urged Wahl to enter the race, praised him as “a true MAGA Warrior and America First Patriot,”and firmly stated, “John Wahl has my Complete and Total Endorsement.”

“I am honored to have President Trump’s endorsement and full commitment and am deeply grateful for the support of grassroots conservatives, Trump-loving MAGA activists, and hardworking everyday Alabamians across the state,” Wahl said. “Together, we are building a campaign that fights the radical left’s dangerous Woke agenda, returns our God-given rights and freedoms to the people, and defends the values that make our Sweet Home Alabama such a special place to live.”

As Chairman of the Alabama Republican Party, Wahl earned a reputation as a determined conservative fighter—going head-to-head with leftist Democrats, defending election integrity, and delivering Republican election victories statewide. 

His campaign for Lieutenant Governor is focused on strengthening the economy, backing law enforcement, protecting constitutional freedoms, and stopping liberal policies from ever taking root in Alabama.
