Trump Signs $15M for Dale Strong’s North Alabama Projects
New law includes $15 million in federal funds secured by Rep. Strong for roads, workforce training, airport upgrades and long-term growth
President Donald Trump this week signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026 (H.R. 7148) into law, including $15 million in Community Project Funding for North Alabama secured by U.S. Representative Dale Strong (R-AL-5). The funding brings the total federal investment Strong has secured for Alabama’s Fifth District in fiscal year 2026 to more than $33 million.
The package makes targeted investments in transportation, infrastructure and workforce development across the district. Strong, a member of the House Appropriations Committee, said the funding will support communities and ease growing pressures on key corridors.
“As more families and businesses choose to call North Alabama home, the need for strategic infrastructure improvements and workforce development has never been greater,” Strong said. “I know firsthand the traffic challenges and need for safer, more efficient roads. I’m proud to fight for federal investments that deliver real results. These projects will ensure North Alabama can continue to grow and lead.”
Funding Breakdown: $15 Million in New Projects
