Trussville Eagle Forum to Host “The Great Awakening” Screening

The Trussville Eagle Forum Action Group will be hosting a screening of Joshua Enck’s The Great Awakening on Thursday, June 11 at the Trussville Civic Center, 5381 Trussville Clay Road, Trussville.

Attendees are invited to gather at 5:30 PM for refreshments and mingling, with the film to begin promptly at 6:00 PM. The screening is free, and the general public is invited to attend. No preregistration is required.

Please remember that the I–59 Trussville/Pinson exit is closed due to construction. If you are coming from Birmingham, you will have to exit early on the first Trussville exit (Highway 11) and proceed down Highway 11, or go one exit further down and exit on Deerfoot Parkway. As traffic is typically heavy at that time of day, you should allow extra time for travel.

A Great Awakening is a historical drama that explores the friendship between Benjamin Franklin and evangelist George Whitefield during the First Great Awakening. Strong performances and authentic colonial settings help bring a lesser-known chapter of American history to life. The film is a sincere and engaging look at the role faith, ideas, and personal relationships played in shaping early America.
