Tuberville Says He Has a Plan for Alabama’s Future — and Doug Jones Doesn’t
Tuberville revealed that he has spent the past year and a half preparing to govern Alabama.
With just 14 days remaining until the November 3 election, Senator Tommy Tuberville delivered a passionate message Monday evening at a Republican rally hosted by the Lauderdale and Colbert County Republican clubs. His focus was clear: faith, family, freedom, education, public safety, and Alabama’s future.
But what impressed me most wasn’t campaign rhetoric. It was preparation.
Tuberville revealed that he has spent the past year and a half preparing to govern Alabama, assembling approximately 100 professionals with expertise in healthcare, law enforcement, education, and other essential areas of state government.
He intends to arrive in Montgomery with a team, a strategy, and a plan of action.
And that raises an important question about his Democratic opponent, Doug Jones.
“I have not heard any plan, not one thing,” Tuberville declared.
Alabama voters deserve detailed proposals from both candidates. Tuberville made his case Monday night that preparation and decisive leadership are essential to moving Alabama forward.
Our Children Are Alabama’s Future
Perhaps Tuberville’s most important remarks concerned our children.
“Our kids are our number one commodity in this country,” he declared.
He’s absolutely right about the importance of investing in the next generation.
Our children are tomorrow’s doctors, engineers, teachers, military leaders, entrepreneurs, and parents. The opportunities we provide today will determine Alabama’s success tomorrow.
Tuberville strongly supports Alabama’s CHOOSE Act, emphasizing parental authority and educational freedom. He believes parents deserve meaningful choices when deciding where their children receive an education.
He also criticized DEI initiatives and what he considers political indoctrination in classrooms, arguing that schools should concentrate on academic achievement and preparing students for successful lives.
Tuberville acknowledged Alabama’s outstanding teachers and schools while recognizing that improvements are necessary.
His message was simple: Education creates opportunity, and every Alabama child deserves the chance to succeed.
Safe Streets, Strong Families, and Faith
“If you don’t have safe streets and neighborhoods, you don’t have anything,” Tuberville told the audience.
Public safety will be a central priority of his administration, he said, along with supporting law enforcement and holding criminals accountable.
He repeatedly emphasized three principles that have shaped Alabama for generations: faith, family, and freedom.
Tuberville also criticized the Biden administration’s border policies and warned against political movements he believes threaten Alabama’s conservative traditions.
He pointed to approximately 20 states that he believes have embraced increasingly progressive policies, cautioning that Alabama must remain vigilant about its own future.
His argument was that Alabama should strengthen its communities, protect individual freedoms, and preserve the values that have defined our state.
A Coach Ready to Lead
Tuberville explained that serving in the United States Senate makes him one of 100 senators. As governor, however, he would have the opportunity to become Alabama’s head coach.
He described assembling qualified professionals, coordinating with legislators, and preparing state agencies to pursue a common goal.
That approach reflects his decades of experience building football programs and leading teams.
He believes Alabama can become the number one state in America, and he says his administration will be prepared to pursue that ambition.
November 3: Every Vote Matters
Tuberville concluded with a warning about voter complacency.
“We can’t be complacent,” he said, reminding the audience that the right to vote is among America’s greatest privileges.
He encouraged citizens to participate and recognize the responsibility that comes with choosing their leaders.
I have spent enough time around politics to understand that speeches don’t make successful governors. Preparation, integrity, judgment, and leadership matter.
Monday night, Tuberville presented his vision and challenged his opponent to do the same.
“I can smell the goal line,” the former football coach declared.
On November 3, Alabama voters will decide who leads our state into its next chapter.
Because Alabama’s future isn’t simply about winning an election. It’s about protecting what makes our state special and investing in the children who will inherit everything we leave behind.
