Tuberville Shatters Alabama Fundraising Record
Tops $4 Million in First Month

U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville has raised more than $4 million in the opening 30 days of his 2026 campaign for Governor, setting a new statewide fundraising milestone. The campaign, which launched on May 27, drew contributions from over 2,500 individuals—90% of whom are Alabama residents—primarily in Madison, Jefferson, Lee, Montgomery, and Baldwin Counties.
The total significantly outpaces the previous record. Then‑Governor Kay Ivey raked in $1.2 million in her first month of re‑election fundraising in 2021—less than a third of Tuberville’s haul.
In a notable shift away from traditional campaign financing, Tuberville has refused PAC money, relying solely on donations from business owners, retirees, entrepreneurs, veterans, and working‑class voters.
“I am thankful for the outpouring of support we have received from every corner of the Yellowhammer state,” Tuberville said in a campaign statement. “When Suzanne and I were praying about getting in the race, we knew we wouldn’t move forward unless Alabama was on board. But we aren’t getting complacent. Like I said when I was coaching, we have to run like we’re 10 points behind. I have fought every day to represent Alabama’s conservative values in Washington D.C. and will bring that same fight to Montgomery when I’m elected Governor.”
Tuberville’s fundraising prowess and grassroots funding model is seen by many as a sign of a campaign built on strong voter engagement. The steep rise also reflects his national profile, built during his tenure as a Senator beginning in 2021.
Tuberville faces a GOP primary challenge from Ken McFeeters of Birmingham, an insurance executive and former U.S. House candidate. The Republican primary is scheduled for May 19, 2026, with the general election set for November 3, 2026.
