Wadsworth Launches First Statewide Ad Campaign In Lt. Gov. Race
New television and digital spot “Alabama First” began airing last week, casts Wadsworth as a wife, mother, business owner and conservative outsider
Dr. Nicole Jones Wadsworth has launched her first statewide advertising campaign in her bid to be Alabama’s next Lieutenant Governor. The new television and digital spot, titled “Alabama First,” began airing last week and casts Wadsworth as a wife, mother, business owner and conservative outsider ready to take on Montgomery.
In the ad, Wadsworth says:
“As a business owner, I’ve created jobs and balanced budgets. As a conservative, I’ve defended faith, family, and freedom. As a political outsider, I’m ready to kick down the doors of the Montgomery swamp and fight for you. Career politicians won’t save Alabama, but I will. Together we can build a future where our kids don’t have to leave home to find good jobs, where businesses thrive, and where our values are protected.”
Wadsworth’s campaign says the ad underlines her commitment to bringing real-world business and economic development experience—not more of the same “politics as usual”—to State leadership. Her focus, the campaign says, is on job creation, supporting small business, and defending conservative values.
Her entry into the race for the office of Lieutenant Governor of Alabama was announced in May 2025. She is running as a “pro-business, Alabama First candidate” with a focus on “policy-oriented solutions in the areas of industry recruitment and retention (jobs), workforce development, statewide infrastructure improvements, rural healthcare, and public safety.”
Wadsworth is one of several candidates who will be on the ballot in the May 19, 2026 Republican primary.
