Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen is way out in front in fundraising for the lieutenant governor’s race—with June being his second strong month in a row. His campaign raised $128,300 from 34 donors across the state, putting him ahead of every other candidate who reported in June.

“I continue to be grateful for the outpouring of support this campaign is receiving from across the state,” Allen said in a statement. “People across our state recognize that I have a strong record of getting things done. From eliminating $2 million in unnecessary spending in the Secretary of State’s Office to developing the most secure elections system in our nation’s history to leading the charge to ban puberty blockers and sex change procedures on minors in our state, I have shown repeatedly that I am not a person that just talks about standing up for conservative values. I take real action, over and over again. I fight for what is right on economic and social issues and I get the job done.”

In an earlier fundraising report, Allen had raised $94,300 in May and then transferred more than $42,000 from his Secretary of State campaign—giving him about $140,000 cash on hand at the start of June.

Allen served as Probate Judge in Pike County for nearly ten years. After that, he moved to the Alabama House of Representatives, and in 2022 became the 54th Secretary of State. Now, he’s hoping Republican voters will choose him as their nominee for lieutenant governor. The primary is set for May 19, 2026.
