Wes Allen Touts Successful August Fundraising in Lt. Governor’s Race
Raises More in August Than All GOP Opponents Combined

Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen raised $106,145 in August for his bid in the 2026 Republican primary for Lieutenant Governor, putting him well ahead of the combined total of his GOP rivals.
That figure surpasses the $74,135 collected by his challengers together in August:
- Rick Pate (Agriculture & Industries Commissioner): $52,820.
- Nicole Wadsworth: $21,065.
- Patrick Bishop: $250
- Dean Odle: $0
Allen’s campaign ended August with $480,192 in cash on hand—nearly $100,000 more than any other Republican candidate in this race. Rick Pate reported cash on hand of $309,665, Nicole Wadsworth reported $160,167, Patrick Bishop reported $1,100 and Dean Odle, $4,701 cash on hand.
“As I travel across the State of Alabama, I am grateful for the outpouring of support that I have received,” Allen said. “Since announcing my candidacy for Lt. Governor, hardworking Alabamians have reached out to support me with contributions, with encouraging words and with prayers. I am working hard everyday to earn the support of the voters and to make the people of Alabama proud.”
To date, Allen has received contributions from 261 donors across the State.
Wes Allen's fundraising gives him a financial edge at the moment, but there are many long months between now and the primary. It remains to be seen just how well all the candidates in the Lt. Governor race do with fundraising as the holidays approach.
The Republican primary is scheduled for May 19, 2026, with the general election to follow on November 3, 2026.
