Williams Reschedules District 55 Campaign Kickoff for June 13

Write-in candidate Keith O. Williams has announced a new date and location for his campaign kickoff event as he continues his bid to represent Alabama House District 55. The kickoff was originally scheduled for May 23, but was rescheduled due to the threat of severe weather.

The campaign kickoff is now scheduled for Saturday, June 13, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Creed 63, 1601 Fifth Avenue North, Birmingham. 

Community members, supporters, and residents from across District 55 are invited to attend the event, which will focus on affordability and the everyday challenges facing Alabama families. Organizers say discussions are expected to cover rising utility costs, housing affordability, grocery prices, transportation needs, healthcare access, infrastructure improvements, education support, and economic opportunity.

“This campaign has always been about the people of District 55 and the everyday challenges families face across Alabama,” Williams said. “No matter the process, the movement continues. Residents deserve another voice, another choice, and leadership focused on affordability, accountability, transparency, and long-term opportunity.”

In addition to hearing from Williams, attendees will have opportunities to participate in community discussions, learn more about Alabama's write-in voting process, explore volunteer opportunities, and discuss economic development and neighborhood investment within the district.

Williams has centered his campaign on civic engagement, affordability concerns, and government accountability. Campaign organizers say the effort has also focused on increasing public awareness of voter participation and representation in District 55.

Supporters are encouraged to attend, bring questions and concerns, and learn more about the campaign's goals for the district.

The event is open to the public.
