Working Hard to Flip Seats

Since I took over as Chair of the Alabama Democratic Party earlier this month, I've been attending rallies, putting together our transition team, meeting with all the staff, and planning how exactly we’re going to FLIP SEATS BLUE in November.

People are ready. Ready for a Democratic Party that actually shows up. Ready for candidates who fight for them instead of for billionaires. Ready to be heard instead of taken for granted.

I'm hearing from women who are tired of watching their rights get legislated away by people who've never had to live with the consequences. I'm hearing from working families who can't make sense of why their paychecks stretch less every month while MAGA politicians hand out tax breaks to the wealthy. I'm hearing from young people who love Alabama and want a reason to stay and build a future here instead of leaving for opportunity somewhere else.

I'm hearing all of it. And I'm taking notes.

While we're out organizing and listening, Alabama Republicans are tearing each other apart, and everybody is more interested in out-MAGA-ing each other than talking about a single thing that would actually help Alabama families. 

I didn't take this job to sit behind a desk in Montgomery. I took it to get out into every one of Alabama's 67 counties, hear directly from the people this party is supposed to serve, and build something real — not just for November, but for the long haul.

Let's go to work.
