Lineville, AL – Alabama Businessman and United States Senate Candidate Rodney Walker was one of the six candidates who made a great presentation to the hard-working men and women of the State of Alabama in the Alabama Policy Institute / Yellowhammer US Senate Forum held at the Hoover City Library Auditorium on Tuesday night. It was a great crowd of approximately 150 people from across the State who came out to see the debate live while many thousands more viewed as the forum streamed live on RightSide Media.

After the debate, one candidate has touted that he “won the debate”. The questions were created in advance and presented to each of the candidates in random order with no one knowing the questions in advance. It was a very fair forum with all candidates being given equal time to answer the questions which they were presented. Speaking for myself and the others of us who were present and answered each of the questions very well, I would like to state that you can’t win a debate. It was equally formatted for the issues so that the audience gets to know each of the candidates and their views on particular issues. I would like to say that I felt like I did very well and from the overwhelming support given after the event and throughout today, I believe others think the same way.

As a lifelong career businessman rather than a career politician, I believe that I bring trust and hope for Alabama and America’s future. You see the problem with Washington DC is the swamp believes that we can print money while our kids and grandkids will have to pay the bill, because it isn’t going to wipe itself out. Last night, one important issue that the career politician is responsible for is now our national debt is $38.9 trillion dollars. As those career politicians tout about all the wonderful things they are doing, they fail to mention that they have increased the national debt by almost $3 trillion dollars this fiscal year. Let that sink in, last July 2025 when I entered this race, the national debt was $36 trillion dollars and in the past 9 months it has gained $3 trillion dollars. All of that while the man who claims that he “won the debate” has voted on bill after bill to cost the taxpayers more money while admitting in a debate in Coffee County, Alabama that “his job is not to bring home the bacon”.

I make you some promises when I am your next United States Senator of things I will do:

  1. I will work hard to bring home the bacon to Alabama by boosting our economy and jobs
  2. I will work to pass term limits for all of the US Senate and House of Representatives
  3. I will work diligently to widen I-65 to six lanes from the Tennessee line to Mobile
  4. I will work hard to protect your food supply and help our farmers to stay in business
  5. I will bring prescription drug manufacturing back to America
  6. I will work to take back our 2,198,000 acres in Alabama from foreign owned entities
  7. I will work hard to fix the Medicare reimbursement act to save our rural hospitals
  8. I will work hard to protect the American dollar, protect our banks, and make sure cash is still our currency
  9. And I will work for and SERVE all the hard working men and women of Alabama

So, as I said last night in my closing statements, you need to vote for a man who can think for himself and who will work hard for Alabama, because President Trump only has two and a half more years as President and we must be able to think for ourselves and support our country as only business leaders can do.
