Alabama defeats St. Mary’s in NCAA Round Two
Will face BYU in Sweet Sixteen

Alabama lead throughout the game in their 80-66 defeat of St. Mary’s on Sunday to advance to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship.
The Crimson Tide will now face No. 6 seed BYU in New Jersey on Thursday, March 27.
This will be Alabama’s third consecutive Sweet Sixteen appearance. The only other time Bama has had three consecutive appearances in the NCAA third round was during legendary Coach Wimp Sanderson’s tenure, in 1984-1987.
This was the first time in 105 games that St. Mary’s allowed 80 points or more.
