Alabama First Responders Release Run-Off Endorsements
"Our members have carefully evaluated these candidates, and we believe these individuals have earned the trust and support of Alabama's first responder community."
From Alabama First Responders Association
As Alabama voters head to the polls on Tuesday, June 16, the Alabama First Responders Association (ALFRA) is reminding its nearly 5,000 members and supporters across the state of the organization's official endorsements in several key Republican runoff and statewide races.
Representing law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, military police, ER nurses, and emergency room physicians, ALFRA says its endorsements reflect the candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to public safety, first responders, and conservative leadership.
"The decisions made tomorrow will help shape Alabama's future for years to come," said Brett Trimble, Interim President of the Alabama First Responders Association. "Our members have carefully evaluated these candidates, and we believe these individuals have earned the trust and support of Alabama's first responder community."
ALFRA's endorsed candidates for the June 16 election are:
• Barry Moore — U.S. Senate
• John Wahl — Lt. Governor
• Jay Mitchell — Attorney General
• Christina Woerner McInnis — Commissioner of Agriculture & Industries
• Jim Zeigler — Public Service Commission Place 2
• William Matthews — State Board of Education District 8
Trimble said the association focused on candidates who understand the challenges facing law enforcement, emergency personnel, and frontline workers.
"Every day, first responders put on a uniform and answer the call without knowing what challenges await them," Trimble said. "We need leaders who respect that sacrifice and will stand up for those who protect and serve our communities. These candidates have demonstrated that commitment."
The association also encouraged all eligible voters to participate in Tuesday's election.
"Whether you're a first responder, a family member, or simply someone who values safe communities and strong leadership, tomorrow is your opportunity to make your voice heard," Trimble said. "We encourage every conservative voter to get to the polls and support candidates who will fight for public safety, accountability, and Alabama values."
Polls across Alabama will be open Tuesday, June 16, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
