ALFA Endorses Robertson in AG Race
“I understand the vital role agriculture plays not only in our economy but in our culture as well”—Katherine Robertson

Republican Attorney General candidate Katherine Robertson has won a major endorsement from the Alabama Farmers Federation (ALFA).
The backing from ALFA—via its FarmPAC arm—is widely viewed as a key signal of support from Alabama’s rural and agricultural communities. As the voice of the State's agricultural sector—employing over 400,000 Alabamians and generating billions in economic impact—ALFA's endorsement has long been one of the most coveted in Alabama politics.
In announcing ALFA’s endorsements, Federation President Jimmy Parnell said that, “The candidates we endorsed today know our people, and we know them. We’re ready to work hard in communities across the state to help them win election.”
Robertson, who serves as Chief Counsel to current Attorney General Steve Marshall, said the endorsement connects deeply to her roots. “As the product of an eighth-generation farming family, I am deeply honored and humbled by ALFA’s endorsement,” she said. “I understand the vital role agriculture plays not only in our economy but in our culture as well.”
She added that the endorsement “is a testament to my dedication to fighting for the rule of law and ensuring that Alabama’s farmers, families, and small businesses are protected from bureaucratic burdens. Farmers are my people, and together, we will build a stronger, more prosperous Alabama.”
The ALFA nod arrives after a wave of endorsements Robertson has secured from conservative groups and law enforcement officials across Alabama. Her campaign cites support from:
- The Republican Attorneys General Association
- Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum
- Marshall County Sheriff Phil Sims
- Calera Police Chief David Hyche
- Pell City Police Chief Clay Morris
- Bibb County Sheriff Jody Wade
- Henry County Sheriff Eric Blankenship
With the ALFA endorsement, Robertson gains both symbolic and practical advantages in ground operations, ballot drives, and messaging in rural districts.
Robertson is facing former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Jay Mitchell and Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey in the Republican primary scheduled for May 19, 2026. The general election will be held on November 3, 2026.
