An Open Letter to the ALGOP Chairman

In ancient times, the ‘Man of the Hour’ was believed to be chosen by the Heavens to be at the focal point of attention, admiration, or honor due to recent achievement to meet the moment at particular times, for particular reasons. Now, at this critical juncture for the Alabama Republican Party and the State of Alabama, is your hour Mr. Chairman.
Your election by over 45% on the first ballot and then over 60% on the second ballot of the State Executive Committee’s ALGOP Chairman Election was the burning of the ships. It was decided with resounding confidence, for you to be not only our Chair but more distinctly, our champion. Your humble beginnings from a small town in Florida to Alabama’s Morgan County grounded in faith and entrepreneurial determination was not lost of the membership. Your commitment to the people of Alabama House District 9 is evidence you’re a public servant of values and principles. Uniquely qualified to unify the party across generational divides, your life’s experiences have equipped you with the necessary abilities to oppose those agents of chaos hindering the architecture of a Conservative Pax Alabama.
As you continue to make public your strategic packages of initiatives, purposed legislation, task forces, and think tanks, I believe it is most beneficial to us all to lock in our traditional support for the conservative coalitions and the Party’s four established auxiliary groups instrumental in facilitating the recent historic gains within Alabama Democratic Party strongholds throughout the state. The rallying causes of never conceding the 2nd and 7th Congressional Districts of Alabama cannot be overstated. Our recent and past party resolutions have conservative and comprehensive solutions to problems plaguing our communities, yet a doorway to transition into state policy has proven elusive in recent memory. The need for the county executive committees of ALGOP to be reinforced and cultivated remain persistent and require affirming attention. While some have been successful and others not ruled in our favor yet on appeal, the court cases like the Conecuh County Sheriff's Election of 2022 are significant benchmarks to determine whether we are headed in the right direction on behalf of our principles as a party of Election Integrity. The vast majority of our party are committed to the ideal of financial and informational transparency being the best policy overall no matter the circumstances or situation.

There is plenty left to gain and much more left to be done in winning the hearts and minds of Alabama Independents. Now is not the time to lose momentum by allowing the lukewarm voices of the party to pervasive and redistribute your resolve. Now is the time to double down on our shared values with our shoulders squared, our backbones stiffened, and our refined focus on holding the line for Liberty and our American Republic. Many of us still believe our state and our country is worth fighting for and stand ready to do our part in securing our American way of life for the generations of tomorrow. Those comprehensive steps to renewing our future are yet unfolding but one universal truth is clear: the state’s path to effective, limited governance and untapped prosperity travels through this November’s general midterm election by way of your election last March.
Mr. Chairman, the Republican Party of Alabama is the party of faith and of life. As we chart our course toward restoring the future, May God’s grace and love sustain, lead, guide and direction you as you embark on your journey to renovate our Grand Ol’ Party.
