BamaCarry Backs Dixon Again in AL-6 Special Race
Second Amendment group renews support for Case Dixon as he campaigns in the Aug. 11 Republican special primary for Congress
Second Amendment advocacy group BamaCarry has renewed its endorsement of Republican congressional candidate Case Dixon ahead of the Aug. 11 special primary election in Alabama’s 6th Congressional District.
The endorsement marks a continuation of BamaCarry’s support for Dixon, which began during his earlier congressional campaign. The organization first backed Dixon in 2025, praising his commitment to gun rights and constitutional liberties. At the time, BamaCarry described Dixon as “a true defender of liberty” and said he could be trusted to represent Alabama gun owners in Washington.
The renewed endorsement comes as Dixon seeks the Republican nomination in the special election triggered by Alabama’s congressional redistricting changes and the subsequent special election schedule announced by Governor Kay Ivey. Dixon officially qualified for the Aug. 11 Republican primary earlier this year and is continuing to build support among conservative and grassroots organizations.
“I am honored to once again have the endorsement of BamaCarry,” said Dixon. “The right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental constitutional liberty that must be protected. I am grateful for BamaCarry’s continued confidence in our campaign and look forward to fighting for the Second Amendment and defending the Constitution in its entirety in Congress.”
BamaCarry has become one of Alabama’s most prominent grassroots gun-rights organizations and has increasingly played a role in Republican primary contests across the state. The organization has consistently backed candidates it views as strong supporters of the Second Amendment and Constitutional rights.
The endorsement adds to a growing list of conservative organizations that have lined up behind Dixon during his congressional campaigns. Earlier this year, Dixon also received endorsements from the Alabama Republican Assembly and the Republican Liberty Caucus, both of which cited his support for limited government and constitutional principles.
Dixon, a healthcare provider and political newcomer from Hueytown, has positioned himself as a constitutional conservative and has made individual liberties, limited government, and protection of the Second Amendment central themes of his campaign.
Alabama’s 6th Congressional District includes much of suburban Birmingham and surrounding communities. Republican voters will choose their nominee in the Aug. 11 special primary, with the winner advancing to the Nov. 3 general election.
