Barry Moore Makes His Case for the U.S. Senate with a Record of Results
Congressman Barry Moore joins Angela's Sweet Tea and Politics podcast.

On this week’s podcast episode of “Angela‘s sweet tea and politics” on Spotify, Congressman Barry Moore who is running for US Senate of Alabama on June 16, emphasized a message that resonated throughout the conversation: leadership is measured by results, not rhetoric.

While Moore highlighted his conservative voting record, support for President Donald Trump, and efforts to curb federal spending, one story stood out above all others. He recounted the experience of a Vietnam veteran who had spent decades navigating government bureaucracy while waiting for hearing aids he had earned through his military service. After contacting Moore's congressional office, the veteran received those hearing aids within two weeks. For many voters, that story illustrates what effective public service looks like—helping real people solve real problems.

Moore pointed to a number of accomplishments during his five and a half years in Congress. He highlighted his role in supporting legislation that reduced federal spending, preserved tax cuts, and increased protections for family farms by raising inheritance tax exemptions. He also discussed efforts to eliminate government waste, improve accountability in federal assistance programs, and reduce fraud within taxpayer-funded systems.

As a member of the House Freedom Caucus, Moore described his work pushing for fiscal responsibility and advocating for conservative principles. He noted that his voting record has earned some of the highest conservative ratings in Congress, including a perfect score from the Heritage Foundation and a 96 Liberty Score. Moore has also emphasized that he is the only candidate in the U.S. Senate race endorsed by President Donald Trump, a distinction he points to as further validation of his conservative record and alignment with the President's agenda.

Agriculture has remained a major focus of Moore's service. He stressed that he followed through on his promise to serve on the House Agriculture Committee, where he has worked on policies affecting Alabama farmers and rural communities. He also emphasized his support for protecting family farms from burdensome estate taxes that have historically threatened generational farming operations.

Perhaps most impressive was Moore's emphasis on constituent services. His office has handled nearly 8,000 constituent cases involving veterans, small business owners, passports, federal agencies, and other government-related issues. Moore explained that his staff regularly travel to small towns throughout his congressional district, bringing services directly to residents rather than requiring citizens to travel long distances to congressional offices. Those efforts helped his office earn recognition as one of the most accessible congressional offices in the nation.

Throughout the interview, Moore repeatedly returned to the idea that voters should evaluate candidates based on their records rather than campaign promises. Whether discussing support for veterans, advocacy for farmers, efforts to secure the border, or his commitment to constituent service, he argued that his record demonstrates a consistent willingness to fight for Alabama values.

With the runoff election approaching on June 16, Alabama voters will soon decide who they believe has the experience, conviction, and proven results to represent the state in the United States Senate. Personally, I pray it’s Barry Moore.
