“As your next Lieutenant Governor, I pledge to fight to provide RSA retirees with a long-deserved cost of living adjustment (COLA). Let’s be clear, occasional bonus checks aren’t a COLA. Classroom teachers, firefighters, policemen and other government employees across this state often find themselves working after retirement just to make ends meet. Meanwhile, highly paid administrative retirees and others with lucrative government jobs can comfortably retire without working because their RSA retirement provides a liveable income. It’s high time we give our state retirees a COLA that will enable them to cover their bills and put food on the table.

“I also pledge to fight to ensure the RSA remains strong and secure for future generations of employees. We must address pressing issues like unfunded pension liabilities and ensure that the contributions hardworking employees make to their retirement are matched by their employers and remain safe for them in retirement.“
