BREAKING: Records, Witness Tie Jared Hudson to Obama Donor Private Plane
Hudson has been quietly traveling on a private plane owned by Obama donors while criticizing his opponent as a "Washington Insider."
Throughout the U.S. Senate race, Jared Hudson has frequently criticized political insiders, special interests, and what he describes as a political system that operates under a different set of rules than ordinary Americans. Yet evidence reviewed by ALPolitics raises questions about Hudson’s own campaign travel, including his use of a private aircraft, owned by an Obama and Doug Jones donor, to travel across Alabama during the campaign.
While most candidates in the Senate race have largely traveled by vehicle or commercial airline, flight records, photographs, witness accounts, and campaign finance disclosures reviewed as part of this investigation indicate that Hudson traveled aboard a privately owned aircraft on multiple occasions while campaigning across the state. Hudson has been quietly traveling on a private plane owned by Obama donors while criticizing his opponent as a "Washington Insider."
The aircraft at the center of these questions is registered to CBA Air, Inc. and owned by Charles B. Adcox. Publicly available Federal Election Commission records reflect political contributions associated with Adcox to candidates and political committees, including contributions to Barack Obama and Doug Jones.

According to flight records reviewed by ALPolitics, the aircraft was active in multiple Alabama cities associated with campaign activities. Records show the aircraft in Muscle Shoals on May 29, Enterprise on June 4, and making a series of stops on June 9 that included Mobile, Birmingham, Huntsville, and a return to Birmingham.
ALPolitics has also obtained evidence that it believes confirms Hudson was aboard the aircraft. That evidence includes photographs, flight records, and witness testimony from an individual who observed Hudson arrive on the aircraft and spoke with him after landing.
Taken individually, any one of these pieces of evidence might raise questions. Taken together, they create a substantial body of evidence connecting Hudson to the aircraft and warranting further explanation from the campaign.
Background investigation materials can be seen here:
The primary issue is not the use of private air travel itself. Federal candidates are permitted to travel by private aircraft under certain circumstances. The question is whether any campaign-related flights were properly reported and disclosed in accordance with applicable federal campaign finance requirements.
Flight records reviewed by ALPolitics do not appear to correspond with publicly identifiable campaign expenditures for several of the flights examined as part of this investigation. If campaign-related transportation was provided by a third party, voters deserve to know who paid for it, how it was provided, and whether all required disclosures were made.
Questions have also been raised regarding the aircraft itself. The aircraft model has reportedly been associated with Cirrus Design Corporation, a company whose parent organization has been the subject of Department of Defense scrutiny concerning Chinese military-affiliated entities. The existence of such listings does not suggest wrongdoing by passengers or operators of the aircraft.
However, given the public attention surrounding the flights, the issue has become part of the broader discussion surrounding the aircraft’s ownership and use for a United States Senate candidate who will have classified clearance if successful in their election.
Ultimately, transparency remains the central issue.
The evidence now extends beyond speculation. There are flight records documenting the aircraft’s movements. There are photographs. There is witness testimony placing Hudson aboard the aircraft. There are campaign finance reports that can be compared against those records.
These facts do not, by themselves, establish a violation of federal law. They do, however, raise legitimate questions that deserve answers from a candidate seeking one of Alabama’s highest elected offices.
Among the questions that remain:
• Who paid for the flights?
• Were the flights campaign-related?
• If so, how were they reported and disclosed?
• What relationship, if any, exists between the Hudson campaign and those who provided access to the aircraft?
• Why have these questions not been publicly addressed by the campaign?
As scrutiny of Hudson’s private air travel continues, voters deserve a full and transparent accounting of the facts. Transparency and disclosure are fundamental principles of federal campaign finance law, and candidates for public office owe voters clear answers when questions arise regarding campaign activities and expenditures.
ALPolitics.com reached out to the Hudson campaign with a series of questions regarding the flights, the aircraft involved, and related campaign finance disclosures. As of publication, the campaign had not responded. According to the party that provided documents, there has been a Federal Election Commission complaint drafted.
