Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey released her first television advertisement this week as she continues her campaign for Alabama Attorney General, leaning heavily on her record as a prosecutor and courtroom Attorney.

The ad, titled “Proven Prosecutor,” began airing on broadcast and cable television stations across Alabama and will also run on digital and streaming platforms. The campaign said the commercial focuses on Casey’s years prosecuting violent offenders and securing convictions in criminal cases.

“This commercial is not over the top,” Casey said. “There are no special effects or fancy CGI additions. It is just me talking to the people of Alabama about what sets me apart, the fact that I am the only candidate for Attorney General that has ever actually prosecuted a criminal.”

In the commercial, Casey says:

“Over-the-top political ads. We've all seen them. This isn't one of those.
“I'm Pamela Casey, a career prosecutor and the only candidate for attorney general who has stepped into a courtroom and put killers and child predators behind bars. That's real experience.
“The choice is yours. Do you want a politician or a proven prosecutor fighting for your family?
“I'm Pamela Casey, the experienced prosecutor Alabama deserves.”

Casey’s campaign message centers on her experience in the courtroom, a theme she has repeated since entering the Republican primary race earlier this year. Casey has served as Blount County District Attorney since 2011 and previously worked in the Alabama Attorney General’s Office as an Assistant Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General.

In recent months, Casey has positioned herself as a “career prosecutor” with hands-on law enforcement experience. Her campaign has also highlighted endorsements from more than 50 law enforcement officials and prosecutors across Alabama, including District Attorneys, Police Chiefs, investigators, and retired State law enforcement officers.

Casey’s campaign has emphasized several high-profile prosecutions during her tenure in Blount County, including murder cases, crimes against children, and human trafficking prosecutions. Last year, she was named Alabama’s “District Attorney of the Year” by the Alabama District Attorneys Association.

The Republican primary for Attorney General is scheduled for May 19. Casey is seeking the seat being vacated by current Attorney General Steve Marshall, who is term-limited. Her Republican opponents include former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Jay Mitchell and current Chief Counsel to the Attorney General Katherine Robertson.
