State Representative Chad Robertson (R-Heflin) announced Thursday that several Mayors across Alabama House District 40 have endorsed his campaign for re-election to the Alabama House of Representatives.

According to the campaign announcement, Heflin Mayor Robby Brown, Edwardsville Mayor Billy Driggers, Ranburne Mayor Trevor Kribbs and Fruithurst Mayor Chris Owens have each given Robertson their support ahead of the May 19 Republican primary.

Robertson said the endorsements reflect the work he has done during his first term in office.

“I am honored to have earned the endorsements of these hardworking mayors,” Robertson said. “I have worked hard over the last four years cutting taxes by $1.5 billion, cosponsoring legislation to send child rapists to death row and passing bills that improved life for our veterans and our military servicemen and women. These endorsements reflect that hard work.”

Robertson has represented District 40 in the Alabama House since 2022. The district includes all of Cleburne County and portions of Calhoun County.

During his time in office, Robertson has served on several House committees, including Military and Veterans Affairs, Economic Development and Tourism, Constitution, Campaigns and Elections, and the Permanent Joint Legislative Committee on Energy Policy.

The Republican primary election for the seat is scheduled for May 19.
