Conservative activist and policy advocate Ann Eubank will be the featured speaker at Focus on America’s (FOA) March meeting, set for Saturday, April 5th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event will take place at The Livin’ Room, located at 2820 Governors Drive SW.

This meeting was originally scheduled for March 15, but was rescheduled due to inclement weather.

Eubank, the Chair of Alabama Legislative Watchdogs and a longtime critic of federal and global education initiatives, plans to discuss what she sees as the quiet integration of the United Nations' “Agenda 2030” goals into Alabama’s local and state-level economic and development policies.

Innovate Alabama bills have been passing since Barack Obama signed the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 (WIOA),” Eubank said. “Back since the UN created its 17 Goals initiative, the ‘2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,’ adopted by all UN Member States in 2015, including the U.S.”

Her presentation will focus on the implications of Alabama’s statewide economic zones and the alignment with global strategies branded under the term “Innovate.” According to Eubank, this reflects what she refers to as a “Global ‘Stakeholder Capitalism’ takeover of Alabama.”

The 2030 Agenda, adopted by the United Nations in 2015, lays out 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) intended to guide global development through poverty eradication, environmental protection, and inclusive economic growth. Critics like Eubank argue that certain aspects of these goals could be enacted without sufficient input or understanding from local voters and taxpayers.

Eubank brings years of political activism to the discussion. She has been a vocal opponent of Common Core, a delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention, and a supporter of numerous conservative campaigns in Alabama. She is also a member of groups such as Moms for Liberty and the Alabama Conservative Coalition. Eubank is the Chair of Alabama Legislative Watchdogs, “the most conservative grassroots organization in Alabama.” She can be contacted through her Facebook page.
