Country music legend and patriotic music icon Lee Greenwood will join Republican Lieutenant Governor candidate John Wahl this weekend for a campaign rally in Hoover as the June 16 Republican runoff election enters its final days.

The event is scheduled for Saturday at 6:00 PM at Brock's Gap Brewing Company and is being promoted by the Wahl campaign as a major get-out-the-vote effort aimed at conservative voters across Alabama.

Greenwood, whose signature song "God Bless the U.S.A." has become closely associated with President Donald Trump's political rallies and public appearances, is expected to join Wahl for an evening focused on conservative issues, faith, patriotism and voter turnout.

Wahl, who received President Trump's endorsement earlier this year in the Lieutenant Governor's race, said he was honored to have Greenwood participate in the event.

"I am incredibly excited to have Lee Greenwood join us in Alabama," said John Wahl.

"Lee is a national treasure, and I am honored to have had the chance to get to know him and work with him over the years. He is not only an incredible performer, but also a true American patriot and a fighter for freedom."

The rally comes less than a week before Republican voters return to the polls to decide the GOP nomination for Lieutenant Governor. Wahl has spent recent weeks highlighting endorsements, fundraising gains and grassroots support as he seeks to consolidate conservative voters ahead of the runoff.

Wahl described the election as a choice between political insiders and conservative leadership.

"This election comes down to a simple choice," Wahl said. "Will Alabama be led by the same Montgomery insiders, or by leaders who believe in faith, freedom, family, and putting Alabama first?"

Throughout his campaign, Wahl has emphasized support for election integrity, law enforcement, lower taxes, veterans and conservative social policies. His campaign has also pointed to Trump's endorsement as a key factor in the race.

Wahl said Saturday's event is intended to energize supporters before Election Day.

"This Saturday is about sending a message," Wahl said. "Alabama conservatives are tired of career politicians, tired of the status quo, and ready for a change. They are ready to stand with President Trump, get out and vote, and take back our state."

The rally is open to the public, including supporters, veterans, law enforcement officers, families and other interested voters. Members of the media are also invited to attend.
