In a special gathering with members of Moms for Liberty—Madison County, Alabama Lieutenant Governor Will Ainsworth formally signed the Moms for Liberty Parent Pledge, aligning himself with a national push to reassert parental authority over children’s education, healthcare, and moral upbringing.

The Parent Pledge, a nationwide initiative from Moms for Liberty, asks public officials to pledge their support for parental rights. It urges them to back policies fostering transparency, accountability, and local control in public schools.

At the signing event, Emily Jones, Chair of Moms for Liberty—Madison County, emphasized the Pledge’s practical significance. “The Moms for Liberty Parent Pledge is a promise to protect and defend the fundamental rights of parents—the right to guide our children’s education, health care, and moral upbringing,” she said. “By signing this pledge, leaders commit to advancing transparency and accountability, ensuring parents are back in the driver’s seat of their children’s future.”

Ainsworth echoed her remarks, asserting that the pledge aligns with Alabama’s belief that parents—not bureaucrats—should make decisions for their children. He called on other leaders in Alabama to join him.

“I encourage others across the State to join me, President Trump, Senator Marco Rubio, and many other conservatives across the nation in signing the Moms for Liberty Parent Pledge that protects parents’ rights,” Ainsworth said.

The signing marks a new milestone for Alabama’s growing parental rights movement. Across the State, communities are similarly pushing for greater transparency in school curricula, stronger laws on parental consent, and policies that place families—not institutions—at the center of educational decisions.
