Moore Leads Hudson in New Alabama Senate Runoff Poll
A new Co/efficient survey finds Barry Moore ahead of Jared Hudson by nine points as Alabama Republicans prepare for the June 16 runoff
U.S. Representative Barry Moore (R-AL-01) has opened a nine-point lead over former Navy SEAL Jared Hudson in the first live-call poll released since the Alabama Republican U.S. Senate primary moved to a June 16 runoff.
The survey, conducted by polling firm Co/efficient, found Moore leading Hudson 46% to 37% among likely Republican runoff voters. Seventeen percent of respondents remained undecided.
The runoff will determine the Republican nominee for Alabama's open U.S. Senate seat, which is being vacated by Tommy Tuberville. Moore advanced to the runoff after finishing first in the May 19 primary with 39.18%, while Hudson narrowly secured the second runoff spot over Attorney General Steve Marshall, 25.63% to 24.53%.
Moore's advantage is strongest among several groups that traditionally make up a large share of Alabama's Republican runoff electorate. The poll found Moore leading Hudson 47% to 32% among self-described conservatives and 58% to 25% among self-described Trump Republicans. Moore also held a substantial lead among voters age 65 and older, 51% to 27%.

The survey further found that among voters who remain undecided, Moore held an advantage among those who lean toward a candidate, suggesting potential room for growth before Election Day.
In a statement, Moore said the results reflect support from conservative voters across the state.
"Our campaign is surging because, just like President Trump, Alabama conservatives want a fighter we can trust," Moore said. "I've been in the fight to shut down illegal immigration, pass the SAVE Act, and preserve our Alabama values. I'm going to keep fighting through June 16 and on to the United States Senate."
The poll was released as both candidates continue campaigning across Alabama in what has become one of the state's highest-profile Republican contests this year. President Donald Trump endorsed Moore before the primary, and Moore has centered much of his campaign on his support for Trump's agenda.
The President recently reaffirmed his support for Moore, posting the following on Truth Social on June 5:

The survey, which is available at THIS LINK, was conducted June 3-4 using live telephone interviews. The poll sampled 600 likely Republican primary runoff voters and carries a margin of error of +/- 3.99%.
The sample was weighted by age, gender, education level, race and congressional district.
The survey population was heavily Republican and conservative. Respondents identified as 81% conservative and 19% moderate. The sample was 96% White and 4% non-white. Voters age 65 and older accounted for 55% of respondents, reflecting the older electorate that typically participates in Alabama runoff elections.
The poll's Republican voter composition included 37% self-described Trump Republicans, 31% Christian conservatives, 19% fiscal conservatives and 13% traditional Republicans.
The survey also measured President Trump's standing among likely runoff voters. It found Trump with an 82% job approval rating, compared to 9% who disapproved and 8% who were unsure.
While the race remains competitive, the survey suggests Moore enters the final stretch of the runoff campaign with a measurable advantage and strong support among key voting blocs that have historically turned out at high rates in Alabama Republican runoffs.
