Dothan, AL – Most campaigns spend their time talking at voters. Doug Jones believes leaders answer to the people they serve.
On Wednesday, July 22, Jones, the Democratic nominee for governor, will hold a public town hall at Mural City Coffee Co. in Dothan, beginning at 5:00 p.m. CT. As at every stop on his statewide Town Hall Tour, Jones will take unscreened questions from anyone who attends, regardless of party affiliation. No question is off limits.
New congressional lines have reshaped Alabama's political landscape, making the Wiregrass one of the state's most competitive regions this November. With competitive races for both governor and Congress on the ballot, Jones says voters deserve candidates who are willing to show up, answer questions, and earn their trust.
That philosophy defined Jones's time in the U.S. Senate. He earned a reputation for working across the aisle to deliver results, including leading the bipartisan repeal of the Military Widow's Tax, restoring full survivor benefits to thousands of military families nationwide, including many connected to Fort Novosel.
"If you're asking Alabamians to trust you as their governor, the least you can do is answer their questions," Jones said. "That's what these town halls are about."
The Dothan town hall is free and open to the public. Every question is welcome. Learn more at mobilize.us/dougforalabama.
