OH Senator Moreno Endorses Barry Moore in Alabama Senate Race

Republican Senator Bernie Moreno of Ohio has formally endorsed Congressman Barry Moore in the 2026 Alabama U.S. Senate race, adding a significant national voice to Moore’s campaign.

In a statement released by Moreno, the Ohio Republican praised Moore’s conservative record and alignment with former President Donald Trump’s priorities.

“Barry Moore is an America First warrior,” Moreno said. “Republicans need Barry in the Senate to support President Trump’s agenda of stopping the deadly flow of drugs over our southern border, making our cities safer, and bringing down prices for American families. He is the best candidate to represent the people of Alabama, and I am proud to give Barry Moore my complete and total endorsement.”

Moreno, who was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2024, emphasized the importance of strong conservative leadership in the upper chamber.

Moore, who currently represents Alabama’s 1st Congressional District and is a member of the House Freedom Caucus, welcomed Moreno’s support as the Republican primary season approaches.

“I’m proud to have Senator Bernie Moreno stand with our America First campaign,” Moore said. “We’re united in putting our nation back on track—securing the border, lowering costs, ending the disastrous policies of the Biden Administration, and ensuring that President Trump’s agenda is fully implemented. Moore announced his Senate bid in August, positioning himself as a “Trump conservative” ready to uphold his campaign themes of border security, fiscal restraint, and traditional values.

Born and raised in Coffee County, Moore is a Christian, husband, father, and small-business owner. He and his wife Heather built BMI, Inc., a waste removal and demolition company, from a single truck into a thriving enterprise.
