Rightside Radio Announces New Hosts
Conservative radio veterans Allison Sinclair and Amie Beth Shaver will join Justin “JP” Plott in the Rightside studio beginning November 3
Rightside Media—the parent company of Rightside Radio—has announced new leadership and hosting changes. The change follows the nomination of Phil Williams, the current host of Rightside Radio, to serve as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama by President Donald Trump.
Williams marked the transition with a public statement:
“As the President of Rightside Media and host of Rightside Radio the honor of answering the President’s call meant that my time behind the microphone had to come to an end.”
He added, “But I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!”
The nomination requires Senate confirmation.
Effective in the first week of November 2025, conservative radio veterans Allison Sinclair and Amie Beth Shaver will join Justin “JP” Plott in the Rightside studio. Sinclair and Shaver previously co-hosted Alabama Unfiltered, a show with a strong following in the Montgomery region.
Sinclair commented on the move:
“Amie Beth and I love speaking truth to power, and mixing our conservative world view with laughter and a bit of mayhem. We were looking for our next step into conservative broadcasting and the timing could not have been more perfect. God has truly opened this door and we are stepping right on in.”
Shaver echoed the sentiment:
“Allison and I have been active in our own state and local issues for years. The opportunity to take the reins at Rightside is a dream come true. We are truly seeing God expand our territory and give us a chance to engage a much broader audience. This is going to be awesome.”
Plott added:
“The mantra is that we’re ‘solid, conservative, and just plain right!’ and our audience has a great time with commentary and guests … designed to educate, enlighten, empower and entertain folks on what it means to be a conservative in today’s crazy world. I look forward to being a part of this next layer of the Rightside mission.”
Based in North Alabama, Rightside Media began as a branch of the Alabama Policy Institute. Its flagship show, Rightside Radio, launched as a live syndicated broadcast from 2–5 p.m. across multiple AM and FM outlets. It soon built a loyal audience in North Alabama and into parts of Georgia, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Listeners often refer to themselves as “Rightside Ruffians.”
From that base, the company expanded into podcasts, social media, and regional and national written content. The live show is also available as a podcast and has exceeded 360,000 downloads.
The broadcast continues to emphasize values like faith, patriotism, personal liberty, and a free society — often framing itself as a “daily dose of freedom.”
