The following is a partial list of Acts signed by Alabama Governor Kay Ivey during the week of April 7-11, 2025. This list only includes general bills that affect the entire State. It does not include single-County bills, Resolutions of any type, including Commendations, Congratulations, Honors or Mourning, or any Act relating to Sunset Laws and their extensions. 

Each Act is numbered by year (2025) followed by the number of the Act. A link for each Act should take readers to the Secretary of State’s website, where another link to the final version of the Act may be found. The bill number is also included in this list for ease of reference.

2025-93 (S40) the Houston/Hunter Act, defining firearm hold agreements and providing civil immunity for federal firearm licensees who enter into firearm hold agreements under certain conditions

2025-104 (S198) to establish and provide for the Alabama National Guard Legal Services Office as well as the Alabama National Guard Legal Assistance Program

2025-106 (S137) to authorize and provide a procedure for certain private sewer/wastewater systems, not subject to regulation by the Public Service Commission to elect to consolidate with certain private systems that are currently under the jurisdiction of the Public Service Commission

2025-107 (S60) to allow the Alabama Corrections Institution Finance Authority to increase the amount of bonds issued to implement the existing prison modernization plan to a total of $1,285,000,000

2025-112 (S25) to amend the Code of Alabama to further provide for the distribution of tax proceeds from alcoholic beverage sales in certain community development districts

2025-119 (S86) to provide for the establishment of portable benefit accounts for independent contractors and to provide for deductions of contributions to portable benefit accounts for Alabama income tax purposes

2025-120 (S96) relating to salvage vehicle certificates of title, to amend the Code of Alabama to provide that Alabama vehicle owners may apply for a salvage certificate of title if their vehicle is declared a loss in any state, and to update code language to current style

2025-121 (S104) to amend the Code if Alabama to expand the membership of the Alabama Job Creation and Military Stability Commission to include the Chairs of the Alabama House Military and Veterans Affairs Committee and the Alabama Senate Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Safety Committee

2025-123 (S-130) relating to legal tender, to provide that refined gold and silver bullion, specie, or coins shall be considered legal tender in the State of Alabama
