Auburn Advances to Sweet 16 in 2024 NCAA Tournament
Tigers will face No. 5 seed Michigan in Atlanta

The Auburn Tigers are heading to the Sweet 16 after a 82-70 victory over Creighton in the second round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. This marks Auburn's first trip to the regional semifinals since their 2019 Final Four run.
Led by head coach Bruce Pearl, Auburn showcased its depth and defensive prowess, overcoming a strong first-half challenge before pulling away in the final stretch. With just over 14 minutes left to play, Auburn trailed by two before rallying to a strong finish.
“Very proud of my team. We played Auburn basketball,” Auburn coach Bruce Pearl said after the win over Creighton. “We played, acted and prepared like the No. 1 team in the country.”
The No. 1 seed Tigers now prepare to face No. 5 seed Michigan in Atlanta on March 28th or 29th.
